Crowntown Cannabis is Charlotte's original hemp-derived cannabis dispensary. Founded in 2018 by three lifelong Charlotte natives, we started as a small CBD shop on the east side of the city. Today, we operate 10+ retail locations across the Charlotte metro area, plus the CannaBUS, our one-of-a-kind mobile dispensary.

We carry a curated selection of premium THCa flower, Delta-9 gummies, CBD wellness products, vapes, pre-rolls, functional mushroom supplements, and more. Every product is third-party lab tested and compliant with federal and state law.

All of our products are derived from hemp and contain less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight, which is the legal limit set by the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 (the Farm Bill). This federal law legalized hemp and hemp-derived products nationwide, distinguishing them from marijuana, which remains federally controlled.

We work exclusively with licensed growers and manufacturers, and every batch is tested by accredited third-party laboratories. Certificates of Analysis (COAs) are available for all products.

No, we are not a medical dispensary. We are a retail hemp dispensary. You do not need a medical card, prescription, or doctor's recommendation to shop with us. Our products are available to anyone 21 years of age or older.

That said, our knowledgeable staff (we call them "budtenders") are trained to help you find products that fit your wellness goals, whether that's relaxation, sleep support, pain management, or just a good time.

THCa (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is the raw, non-psychoactive form of THC found naturally in the hemp plant. When heated (through smoking, vaping, or cooking), it converts to Delta-9 THC, which produces the traditional cannabis experience. THCa flower looks, smells, and smokes just like traditional cannabis because it essentially is — it just meets the legal THC threshold before decarboxylation.

Delta-8 THC is a cannabinoid that occurs in small amounts naturally and is typically produced through conversion from CBD. It offers a milder, more clear-headed experience compared to Delta-9 THC. Many people describe it as "THC lite" — relaxing without being overwhelming.

COA stands for Certificate of Analysis. It's a lab report from an accredited third-party laboratory that verifies a product's cannabinoid content, potency, and safety. COAs test for things like pesticides, heavy metals, residual solvents, and microbial contamination.

You should care because not all cannabis companies invest in proper testing. A COA is your guarantee that what's on the label is what's in the product — and that it's safe to consume. Every single product on our shelves has a COA, and we're happy to show you. If a brand can't show you a COA, that's a red flag.

Absolutely. CBD is where we started, and it's still a huge part of what we do. We carry a wide range of CBD products including tinctures, topicals (salves, lotions, roll-ons), gummies, capsules, and even pet CBD products from Celestial Wellness.

CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning it won't get you high. It's popular for supporting relaxation, sleep, pain management, and overall wellness. Our staff can help you find the right product and dosage for your needs.

Yes! We carry functional mushroom products from brands like Grateful Meds, Day Tripper, and Sporeganix. These include adaptogenic mushroom gummies, powders, and liquid extracts featuring varieties like Lion's Mane (focus and cognition), Reishi (immune support and relaxation), Chaga (antioxidants), and Cordyceps (energy and endurance).

Some of our mushroom products are cannabis-infused, while others are standalone functional supplements. Our staff can walk you through the differences and help you find what works best.

We accept returns on sealed, unopened products within 30 days of purchase. Due to health and safety regulations, we cannot accept returns on opened or used products. We currently operate 10+ retail locations across the Charlotte metro area, including stores in NoDa, South End, Uptown (Latta Arcade), Concord, Belmont, Grover, and Salisbury. Our NoDa location on N. Davidson St also features a 21+ lounge where you can enjoy products on-site in a chill, social setting.

The CannaBUS is Charlotte's only mobile dispensary — a fully stocked store on wheels. We bring the complete Crowntown experience to festivals, private events, corporate gatherings, restaurant pop-ups, and parties throughout the Charlotte area.

North Carolina permits the sale of hemp-derived products that meet these federal requirements. We operate in full compliance with both federal and North Carolina state law.

Nope! No medical card, prescription, or doctor's recommendation is needed. Because our products are hemp-derived and federally legal under the Farm Bill, they're available to any adult 21 and older. Just bring a valid photo ID.

You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase products from Crowntown Cannabis, both in-store and online. We verify age at every point of sale — our staff will ask to see your valid government-issued photo ID. Online, we use an age verification gate before granting access to the site.

We ship to most states where hemp-derived products are legal, but some states have restricted or banned certain cannabinoids. We maintain an up-to-date list of states we can and cannot ship to on our Shipping & Returns page. If your state isn't on the approved list, we unfortunately cannot process your order — but you're always welcome to visit us in Charlotte!
