Transparency
Every Crowntown product is third-party lab tested before it reaches our shelves. No exceptions. No shortcuts.
The Basics
A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a document from an independent, accredited laboratory that details exactly what's in a product. It's proof that what's on the label matches what's in the package.
COAs are the gold standard for transparency in the hemp industry. They verify potency, confirm compliance with federal limits, and screen for contaminants that could put your health at risk.
At Crowntown, we believe every customer has the right to know exactly what they're consuming. That's why we make COAs available for every product we sell.
What We Test For
Our third-party labs screen every product across six critical categories.
Confirms the exact levels of THC, CBD, CBN, CBG, and other cannabinoids. Ensures what's on the label is what's in the product.
Screens for lead, arsenic, cadmium, and mercury. Hemp is a bioaccumulator and can absorb metals from contaminated soil.
Tests for hundreds of pesticide residues. Even trace amounts can pose health risks when concentrated in extracts.
Checks for leftover chemicals from the extraction process, such as butane, propane, and ethanol.
Screens for bacteria like E. coli, salmonella, and mold that can cause illness, especially in immunocompromised users.
Detects toxic compounds produced by molds and fungi. Even products that pass visual inspection can harbor invisible mycotoxins.
Your Guide
COAs can look intimidating. Here's what to look for.
Look for the accredited lab name and logo. The lab should be DEA-registered and ISO 17025 accredited.
The batch or lot number on the COA should match the one on your product packaging. This confirms the test is for your specific product.
Check the cannabinoid profile. Total THC should be below 0.3% on a dry weight basis. Verify the CBD, THCa, or other cannabinoid levels match the label.
Look for pass/fail indicators on contaminant tests. Every category (pesticides, metals, solvents, microbes, mycotoxins) should show "Pass" or "ND" (not detected).
